Happy Skin

My most recent purchase has been of the wonderful Dermalogica
I have got three products from the teenage range they offer and they all seem to be working amazingly
I was recommended these when i went to London for a Christmas facial and only just got round to buying them.. lazy i know.
All of them are from the Clear Start range that combat younger skin for most issues such as regular breakouts and oily skin.

The Breakout Clearing Foam Wash is amazing, it has a really great texture of being fairly thick but not gloopy and has really smart packaging to ensure the lid does not break (Hate that)
It made my skin so smooth and lovely 5/5

Secondly i have the Oil Clearing Matte Moisturizer. This is fantastic as i have to admit i normally avoid moisturizer all together in the fear it will make my skin even worse but this one definitely combats that with the Matte finish. This also contains SPF 15 which is really great for added protection to your skin throughout the day! 5/5

And lastly i have the Breakout Clearing Emergency Spot Fix. This product has answered all of my prayers and can be applied throughout the day to reduce the monstrous spots that appear at just the most inconvenient of times!!! 5/5
All of the products are really good value at around £13 each, especially in comparison to some other brands.
As a warning however be sure to buy them from the official site to avoid counterfeit skincare!

Hand Warmers

I was recently out in Covent Garden looking at the Christmas decorations when I came across these in Muji and just had to buy one for my boyfriend and I!

They are super cute hand warmers that would make a great stocking filler or nice Christmas gesture especially due to their festivity. The pouches hold the hand warmers once they are activated and make them more efficient as when in an enclosed space the heat is more intense (but in a good way). For those of you who havent come across hand warmers before they start off as shown on the left and finish looking like the one on the right. To activate it you flip the switch inside the liquid (its suppper cooool) and then to reuse them you boil the finished one until it becomes clear again like the starting one! - but it does come with instructions!

Essentials Haul

Retail therapy always brightens my mood so here are some of my little pick ups from the last month which I have been meaning to get, simply run out of or just wanted a cheeky spend!

Max Factor - Creme Puff Pressed Powder - I have always loved this product and this buy was a top up from my latest one but also I also find that with the winter months approaching I need to adjust my colour anyway so this was brilliant timing! I wear the Shade Medium and use the powder instead of bronzer for a natural day look - would definitely recommend although i find the sponge applicator or very low quality 4/5 Buy HERE

Redken Diamond Oil - From my hairdressers i got the Redken mini sample collection consisiting of the Shatterproof Shine Oil and the Diamond Oil shampoo and conditioner. I was reccomended this because my hair is farily thin and has a tendency to frizz and this product certainly prevents that. It makes my hair feel well nourished and slick but at the same time is very light so does not weigh my hair down in an unnatural manner. I will definitley be purchasing the full size range of the products! 5/5 Buy HERE
I also purcahsed Maybelline's Volum' Express Lift Up Mascara. This buy was because I had simply lost my other mascara (which seems to be happening a little too often). Im really picky with my mascaras and the style of the applicator tending to go for thicker and fuller brushes and so this suits me amazingly. I normally find it really hard to pick a mascara just because I cant really sample them but I was really pleased with this buy. Becuase this is not the newest product in the range I think the price is really reasonable aswell! 5/5 Buy HERE

For those who know me i'm a massive sucker for a lip balm of any time and I have this ridiculous habit of never finishing them - so that is definitely on my november aims list!
Anyway this is a new product out from the Revlon Colorburst collection, with smart packaging in the style of an actual lipstick I chose the 'Invite only' colour (although it doesn't really make a difference as it doesn't come out in that colour). It comes out clear and sparkly but not in an overpowering way and is really lovely as a lipstick over coat however as a lip balm as such I was not massively impressed. With a short term softness on the lips this feeling did not last for me and made me feel like I needed to apply more - so in a sense making my lips worse.

Revlon Chic Nails

When I was shopping this weekend I had the specific aim of looking for a kind of sparkly dark green autumnal colour for my nails but I am a sucker for both blue and grey so when I saw this I just had to have it!

As you can see the colour comes out differently in the lighting but sticking to its name it is definitely a very chic colour and can be worn so easily in so many different ways especially with winter approaching. This is my first dark colour of the year on my nails so obviously had to make it a good one!

I love Revlon nail polishes anyway as I find they have a long/dainty applicator brush which I find gives me more control over the lines I am painting and its fairly fluid so is not thick or clumpy. Additionally despite the rather hefty price I personally would recommend that it is worth is because of the bottle size causing them to last super long!

Mini SEVENTEEN Make Up Haul

I have been in desperate need for a good shop for a while now so I thought I should share with you two of the best products I have come across recently that in my opinion can hardly be faulted! Enjoy...

Firstly the Seventeen 'Flawless, Poreless Primer'. I am so impressed with this product, you can buy it as a compact or as a liquid fluid and i went for the compact purely to minimise mess and i was pleasantly surprised. I apply with my fingertips to all areas of my face with particular attention to my eyes helping eye makeup to stay on, it really is no mess as it is colourless and amazingly does not leave a heavy or sticky texture on to skin. It leaves a really silky feeling to my skin after application but is so far away from being silky in an oily sense- its very hard to describe haha but i would definitely 100% recommend it especially with such a reasonable price. 5\5 Buy HERE

Sticking to the same branding i have dicovered Seventeen's 'Miracle Matte Concealer Stick'. This product has definitely been sent down from above to tackle the blemishes that appear all too often on my face. With a lipstick style set out i simply apply to my red marks and smooth in with my foundation brush although im sure finger tips would work just aswell! I use the shade 'Fair' as although my skin is probably a bit darker it works as a base layer to my foundation so after applying both products my skin tone appears even without patches! 5/5 Buy HERE

Both products are new to the Seventeen range with really fun and playful packaging and amazingly reasonable prices get your hands on them as soon as possibleeee!!!

The Body Shop's 'Love Etc...' Goodies

Believe it or not good deeds do not go unnoticed. And that was certainly true for me when i handed in a lost wallet full of cash into the local lost property. I left my name and number along with my friends just incase the owner had any questions so you can imagine my surprise when these two amazing products turn up at my door as a thank you!

These are part of The Body Shop's newest range and i can honestly say i am pleasantly surprised with them both.
The Body Butter comes in such a generous size of 200ml which really allows you to slap it on! It has a really fruity and flirtatious smell - ideal for holidays or those silly nights in your dressing gown after a bath to cheer you up. Although i dont normally go for thicker types of  moisturisers i honestly am in love with this one, mostly because it absorbs really well and i dont have to feel sticky (which is definitely not what i am looking for in a moisturiser) but it does take a few minutes to efficiently work. I think the packaging/ branding for this collection is also really fun making it a really loveable product to use!

Additionally i was given the perfume of the range and i absolutely adore it. Firstly the packaging of the product is soooo handy, its perfect to fit in your handbag without getting in the way which is a massive bonus if you ask me. The range does include a specific size for your handbag but this one also works just fine.  Also in comparison to the moisturiser i find the fragrance really light which means that the scent is still very much there without lingering on me generating an overpowering headache. Again obviously its a really fruity fragrance but the smells do vary between the products only because one is a perfume and one is a body butter.

Perfume 5/5
Body Butter 4/5

Molten Brown Minis

Two Molten Brown products have recently come into my possession and being one of my all time favourite skincare brands i thought i just had to review them! When you buy something from the store they have a promotion on where you receive the latest sample they have out and although its only a little extra, i think its a really great deal!

The first one is the Patchouli & Saffron Body Wash - this is actually a limited edition blend so make sure you snap it up quick! I fount this had a really lovely floral smell to it very similar to what i would associate with rose but was also a really great product to use. My skin felt fresh and soft but most importantly clean which is a big deal to me as i find that with many moisturising products my skin feels clogged and so quite unpleasant to touch, but this one was great. I'd definitely recommend this and i cant wait to get my hands on the full size bottle! 4/5

The second product is from Molten Brown's latest rage called Pink Pepperpod. This one is described as a 'nourishing body lotion' and i could not agree more! Again, it has a very fragrant and fresh smell to it which added bonus points to me but i found the texture of the product the most impressive bit. It is a really light lotion and so is quite thin which is a positive aspect in so many different ways. Firstly it means you have a wonderful scent all over your body, Secondly it means that it lasts longer and you dont have to apply handfuls all over your body, and thirdly i personally just dont like thick moisturisers unless i buy them for that purpose, as a deep moisturising product. I will definitely be using this product again. 5/5

I personally thought the packaging for these products was super smart and really cute, they look great on a bathroom shelf or even in your wash bag as travel products.
